Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/24/25

Monday was hot and Tuesday will be hotter.

Captain Brin from Fisherman鈥檚 Wharf gave a summary of the weekend. When conditions provided good drifts flounder and sea bass were caught. Even then shorts outnumbered keepers. A few anglers managed flounder limits. Sunday saw better action than Saturday.

Mike Fischer fished the Old Grounds on Sunday to catch four flounder between 18.5 and 21 inches and four sea bass to 14 inches. He said there were a lot of shorts of both species.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported that striped bass to 26 inches were caught during the night shift on drifted sand fleas and eels. Early in the morning during the first of the incoming current a few blues were taken on metal lures. On Sunday some sheepshead and flounder were caught.
