Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/28/25
Friday was not a very pleasant day for fishing unless you compare it to the three 100-plus degree days that preceded the mid-70-degree day we had to end the week. The high east winds and accompanying seas that joined the fog made for less than favorable boating conditions, but lad-based anglers were able to find a few fish.
Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park told us it was a pretty good day for pier fishermen. The spot and croaker action was steady with bloodworms or FishBites the top baits. One lucky angler landed a 19-inch flounder from the pier.
On Thursday Rick鈥檚 Bait and Tackle checked in an 18-pound dolphin caught by young Cooper Lewis on his Grandpop鈥檚 boat in the Poorman鈥檚 Canyon.
