Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 07/02/25

Tuesday saw small craft advisories up on the ocean and It kept the boats at the dock in Lewes Harbour Marina and Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported spot and croaker caught on bloodworms and FishBites during periods of high water. Small flounder were caught close to the pilings on minnows and Gulp! fished on a jig or bucktail.

Steve Kuhlman fished on Monday from Site 10 out to the shipping channel and caught lots of 10 to 11-inch croaker. He also had plenty of short sea bass. He moved on to B Buoy and found even more croaker plus the only keeper sea bass of the day. He released all the fish he caught. He ran back to Pot Nets in a thunderstorm. Been there, done that, and didn’t enjoy the trip.
