Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 07/04/25
Thursday was a good start to the holiday weekend unless you happened to be stuck on Route 1 as I was this morning.
Back to fishing. Everyone I talk to has the same report, lots of small, take your pick, croaker, trout and especially flounder. That鈥檚 the way it鈥檚 going to be with the 17.5 minimum size and we can鈥檛 do anything about that.
I get reports from folks like Nick Garcia who fishes Delaware Bay with his grandparents. He will drift for several miles until he finds good flounder bottom then he may catch lots of shorts, but he will end the day with five or six nice keepers to 22 inches.
That鈥檚 the situation we have right now. Be it flounder or sea bass or croaker. You have to cull out the shorts to find your keepers.
