Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 07/08/26

Tuesday, we had seas of 3 to 4 feet on the ocean and that caused the boats that tried to run out to ocean structure to return to the dock.

Lewes Harbour Marina said they saw sheepshead and tog caught on sand fleas and green crabs from the Ice Breakers. Croaker and spot were taken out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on bloodworms and Fishbites.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported spot and croaker on Tuesday. A very few keeper flounder were caught on minnows worked close to the pilings.

Old Inlet told us the Inlet produced blues on metal lures during the morning. Sheepshead and triggerfish were caught along with croaker.

Rick’s Bait and Tackle said flounder were caught from Indian River Bay on minnows and bucktails.
