Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 07/22/25
Monday saw decent weather on the ocean and Delaware Bay, but fishing remained slow.
Lewes Harbour Marina told us that the Surface Tension and the Bottom Line both spent the afternoon fishing for sharks. They were able to hook their party up with several toothy critters that were released after an exciting encounter.
Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said spot, croaker and kings were caught on bloodworms, Fishbites and squid strips during high water.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle once again said not much if any change at the Inlet or in the surf. Stripers caught during the dark hours on drifted eels and sand fleas. A few blues during incoming water on metal lures. Sheepshead and tog during the day on sand fleas and crab.
