Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/03/26

Sunday the wind was up and that was just a prelude to the week ahead.

The White Marlin Open begins on Monday, but I don’t think many boats will be fishing the canyons in 7-to-10-foot seas.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported private boats had triggerfish and sheepshead from the Outer Wall and the Ice Breakers on sand fleas and green crabs. Flounder were caught over ocean structure while spot and croaker were taken from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on bloodworms and Fishbites.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said spot and croaker were the only fish caught that could go in the coolers as all the flounder were less than 17.5 inches.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em reported a limit of bluefin tuna from a private boat caught at the Hambone.
