Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/04/25

Sunday was still a bit too rough for most boats to fish the ocean.

Lewes Harbour Marina did report the Jay Sea II made it out and returned with a catch of flounder.

Earlier in the week the Captain Ike went 1 for 3 on white marlin and brought back a pile of tilefish.

Rick鈥檚 Bait and Tackle checked in a 5.6-pound flounder caught on a minnow by Dave Tirpak out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal.

On Saturday Nick Garcia and his grandpop fished Delaware Bay beginning at 7:30 a.m. Unfortunately, they encountered boat problems and decided to remain close to shore. Making short drifts for just a few hours they caught three flounder to 21 inches, two trout at 18 and 19 inches, a 32-inch cobia, plus bluefish and panfish.
