Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/06/25
Tuesday was a bit rough on the ocean, but boats ran out anyway and some of them even caught fish.
The old saying, “Big water, Big fish.” held true on the first day of the White Marlin Open as the Barbara B, out of Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, brought in a 929.5-pound blue marlin caught by Drew Osmeyer to take the lead in the contest. The boat also took the top spot in the dolphin division with a 32.5 pounder caught by Andrew Shreiber.
Lewes Harbour Marina told us the Katydid had flounder from inshore ocean structure. The On Delivery had sea bass and a few private boats had both sea bass and flounder.
Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the Judy V brought in sea bass from her morning trip.
