Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/08/25

Thursday was another nasty northeast day.

Both Lewes Harbour Marina and Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us no boats left their slips on Thursday.

Breakwater Tackle said the hard-working flounder fishermen finally were rewarded with a keeper on Thursday. Otherwise, it was the usual spot, croaker and kings on bloodworms, Gulp! and Fishbites from the Cape Henlopen Pier.

Nick Garcia thought he had his boat problems fixed when he started fishing in Delaware Bay with a friend at 8:30 a.m. As so often happens, the problems returned so he did as he did on the last trip and stayed close to shore. They had three flounder to 21 inches with over 15 shorts. They also kept two kings and released a 34-inch cobia. Sooner or later, he is going to get a keeper.
