Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/09/25
Friday saw lots of sunshine to go along with lots of northeast wind.
Once again no boats left Lewes Harbour Marina or Indian River Marina.
Rick鈥檚 Bait and Tackle on Long Neck weighed in a 5-pound flounder for Sandra Glanden that she caught out of Indian River Bay on a minnow.
Tom Passwaters fished Roosevelt Inlet on Tuesday where he caught two keeper flounder.
That鈥檚 some nice fish still in shallow water late in the season. Add in the keeper flounder caught from the pier on Thursday and maybe you don鈥檛 have to run to the Old Grounds.
Back in the day, my Uncle Art fished Roosevelt Inlet by working the down-current side of the jetty with a bucktail. He was there at day break and caught trout. No reason why the same technique wouldn鈥檛 work for flounder.
