Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/13/25

Tuesday saw those light winds and almost calm seas with very few boats fishing, but the few that went out caught fish.

Lewes Harbour Marina told us that Captain Brent and Mate Chris on the Katydid brought in a boat limit of flounder on Tuesday from ocean structure. According to the shop that was the only boat that left the dock.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported just another summer day with plenty of spot and croaker caught on bloodworms and Fishbites and only short flounder taken on minnows.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle we learned that the best bet for catching something is to fish with sand fleas or green crab along the jetty. You just may encounter a sheepshead or tog for your trouble.

Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m told us inshore boats caught sea bass and flounder.
