Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/14/25
Wednesday was the opening day of the Flounder Pounder Tournament out of Paradise Grill on Long Neck. With a $100,000 First Prize you can bet the ocean was covered up with boats.
On Tuesday Mike Hammer and friends fished the Old Grounds to box five flounder between 18 and 24 inches, one mahi and about a dozen sea bass. They also caught a lot of croaker.
On Wednesday Roxanna Marie Succarotte caught her first tog on her first cast from the backside of Indian River Marina.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said there as a good run of blues to 25 inches during incoming water at the end of the jetties. Metal lures, such as a Hopkins or a Stingsilver, were the hot offering. Spot, kings and croaker were caught from the beach.
