Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/22/25

Thursday the hurricane passed as close to Delaware as it is going to get. When I checked the conditions at the Delaware Lightship Buoy around 4:00 p.m. the wind was gusting to 40 knots and the wave height was 17 feet.

On Wednesday 73 boats did fish the Mid Atlantic Marlin Tournament. The Reel Toy with Captain Danny Jones came to the dock at Sunset Marina in Ocean City, Maryland with an 804-pound blue marlin caught by Mike Kokosinski. That fish now sits at the top of the blue marlin category.

There was a change at the top in the white marlin leaderboard as Jamie Diller pulled his Canyon Lady to the Canyon Club dock in Cape May, New Jersey to weigh in angler Ronnie Davis 73-pound white marlin.
