Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/23/25
Friday the sun came out, but small craft advisories were still up on the ocean and seas were running 3 to 4 feet on Delaware Bay. In the canyons, the seas were still 10 to 18 feet.
From the reports I received, the ocean came across Route 1 north of Indian River Inlet closing that road in both directions and putting several inches of water inside Old Inlet Bait and Tackle. This is not the first time for either event and I understand the road and the tackle shop have reopened.
As we mentioned last week, my son Ric and I watched the bulldozer spread sand north of the Inlet that the next big storm would wash away. I didn鈥檛 think it would be this soon and the storm would be hundreds of miles away.
