Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/24/25

Saturday was a bit breezy with 5 to 7-foot seas inshore and small craft advisories up, but in the canyons the seas were running 3 to 6 feet so some boats chose to fish offshore.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the Boy’s Toy released more white marlin on Saturday. Several boats tried to fish for sea bass and flounder on the inshore grounds. Some had a little success while others gave up and came in early.

Old Inlet said they sold a lot of bait, but had no reports of fish being caught.

Rick’s Bait and Tackle checked in a 6.8-pound flounder for Zachary Hopkins caught at site 10 on a minnow and squid. They also checked in two flounder to 24 inches for Charlie Stottlar. No date when any of these fish were caught.
