Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/26/25

Monday the weather could not be blamed for the slow fishing, unless you want to go back to last week and blame the hurricane for messing up the water and the bottom.

The only fish that Lewes Harbour Marina saw on Monday were some sheepshead caught by private boats that fished with sand fleas or crab baits at the Outer Wall or the Ice Breakers.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said fishing was slow with just croakers and a few short flounder caught on Monday.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said the only fish they heard of caught out of Indian River Inlet were a few pompano.

At Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m Dianna told us fishing was slow on Monday. There were some sea bass and flounder caught here and there on the inshore grounds. A few dolphin were brought back from the deep.
