Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/31/25

Saturday was nice ashore, but not so on the inshore ocean.

Lewes Harbour Marina said a few boats tried fishing the ocean, but soon returned claiming it was too rough for comfortable fishing. The head boats Angler and Pirate King fished in the Bay and had croaker and spot.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported spot and croaker with a few kings were caught on bloodworms, Fishbites and squid strips on Saturday.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said sheepshead and tog were caught from the rocks on sand fleas and crabs. A few stripers were taken from the inlet at night on drifted sand fleas or eels. Spot, croaker, kings and pompano were caught from the beach on bloodworms, Fishbites and peeler crab.
