Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/01/25
When I made my calls on Sunday and Lewes Harbour Marina said several boats went out in the ocean, but turned around and came back in, I was not surprised. I had been watching the trees and a small flag in my neighbor鈥檚 yard and the wind had them moving constantly all day. According to the marine forecast, the next few days only look worse. Somehow, the Bottom Line persisted and made it to the deep and brought in some dolphin.
Good news from Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park. They reported a couple of keeper flounder caught on Sunday by the persistent folks who work minnows on jigs close to the pilings. The regular anglers were satisfied with spot, croaker and a few nice kings caught on bloodworms, Fishbites and squid strips.
