Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/04/25

Wednesday was still a bit bumpy on the ocean, but according to Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em the Captain Bob was able make their all-day run and the Judy V was able to run their half-day trip. Both boats had sea bass and flounder with the Captain Bob bringing in the most fish since they fished twice as long as the Judy V. A couple of private boats fished the wrecks at Fenwick Shoal and caught triggerfish plus some nice flounder.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park told us they saw the usual spot, croaker and kings plus six keeper flounder. That’s the highest number of keeper flounder we have recorded from the pier all season. That would lead flounder fishermen to spend some time working at the mouth of Delaware Bay.
