Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/07/25

Saturday saw small craft advisories up for the ocean and from Cape May to Cape Henlopen with winds to 20 knots extending well up the Delaware Bay.

Lewes Harbour Marina said no charter boats went out on Saturday, but both head boats, the Angler and the Pirate King, fished Delaware Bay and had croaker and some triggerfish.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said the annual fishing tournament was a success with good numbers of croaker, spot and kings caught on bloodworms, Fishbites and who knows what else.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle sounded like a broken record with a report of a few stripers caught at night on drifted sand fleas and eels. Blues caught on metal lures during incoming water. Sheepshead on sand fleas and crabs.
