Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/12/25

Thursday was the first day in a week when fishing was actually possible. Catching was not red hot, but at least people were able to fish.

Patty at Captain Bones in Odessa recorded two snakehead citations. David Wagoner caught a 4.89 pounder in Delaware City on a frog and Steve Broadway recorded a 7.8 pounder out of the Noxontown Spillway on a chatterbait.

Steve at Smith Bait in Leipsic said white perch and small stripers were caught from the tidal creeks and rivers on bloodworms, Fishbites and peeler crabs. The Upper Bay reef sites were difficult to fish, but when they were accessible, they gave up croaker, trout and spot.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said the Inlet produced sheepshead and croaker on sand fleas and crab.
