Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/13/25

Friday saw better weather than we have seen in a week. Both the ocean and the bay were fishable and while not many boats went out, those that did caught fish.

Lewes Harbour Marina told us the Katydid brought in a boat limit of flounder. The Shooter Dog had 15 flounder and 37 black sea bass.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said they saw good numbers of big croaker caught on bloodworms and Fishbites. A few kings and spot were mixed in with the croaker. A couple of keeper flounder were caught on minnows fished on jigs or bucktails close to the pier pilings.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported big sheepshead were taken from the Inlet rocks on sand fleas and crab. Small tog were mixed in with the sheepshead.
