Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/15/25

The first report I got on Sunday was from Nick Garcia who fished Delaware Bay with his grandpop. They began fishing at 7:00 a.m. and for the first two hours they only caught short flounder and panfish. Then Nick caught an 18-inch flounder. It was another two hours before his grandpop caught a beautiful 25-inch trophy flounder. Nick moved all over the bay in an effort to find a concentration of flounder, but he never did. They ended the day with three flounder to 25 inches and 15 shorts.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said the croaker action was good with spot and kings also taken on bloodworms and Fishbites. Plenty of small flounder were caught on minnows fished close to the pilings with two keepers caught on Sunday.
