Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/17/25

I didn’t bother to call anybody on Tuesday, because the gale warning on the bay and ocean along with the cold, driving rain would prevent anyone with a lick of common sense from venturing out of the house, let alone go fishing.

Wednesday isn’t looking much better weather wise and we may not get any fishable weather until Friday.

From the latest reports I have seen it appears that the flounder are leaving Delaware Bay. They move out into the ocean every year and then move north which is why they have so many big flounder on Nantucket Shoal. If we ever get some decent weather I do believe there should be some big flounder waiting to be caught at the mouth of the bay. Live spot, big bucktails with Gulp! or Fishbites as a trailer should attract that doormat.

This is Eric Burnley with your Talk of Delmarva fishing report.
