Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/20/25

Friday saw summer-like weather and excellent fishing. The weekend promises more northeast wind and more rough seas.

My reporter at Lewes Harbour Marina was ready with a list of successful fishermen. The Jay Sea II had 19 flounder and 11 sea bass. The Chasin’ Tail brought in 12 flounder and the Katydid had a boat limit of flounder. Several private boats had sheepshead from bay structure.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported good fishing for spot and croaker.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said the bluefish run along the beach has begun with 20-inchers taken on Friday. Sheepshead and tog were caught out of the inlet rocks on sand fleas and crabs.

At Hook ‘m and Cook ‘m we learned that the Judy V had a good morning trip with nice catches of sea bass and flounder.
