Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/21/25



The weather went downhill on Saturday and the fishing followed suit.

Lewes Harbour Marina said none of their boats left the dock on Saturday while Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us one boat ran out to the Del-Jersey-Land Reef to catch six mahi.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said fishing was slow on Saturday. A few croaker and spot were caught on bloodworms and Fishbites. One angler had six flounder with two keepers on bucktails with minnows.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported the surf gave up blues to 24 inches on cut mullet before the wind kicked up.

Jim Osborne and Bruce Carlton from the Lewes Tog Club caught three sheepshead, four tog and two flounder off a rockpile in Delaware Bay.
