Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 10/02/25

Wednesday was such a beautiful fall day. Hardly a cloud in the sky and bright sunshine all day long. Nice cool temperatures, what more could you want? Wind, what wind? Oh, you mean that gale warning with 20 to 30-knot northeast winds and 7 to 10-foot seas. Small craft advisories are up through Friday so it looks like the weekend before any boats will be going anywhere on open water.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle told us sheepshead and tog were caught out of Indian River Inlet on sand fleas and green crabs. Those 10-foot seas made it very difficult to fish from the beach.

Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m did see a couple of bluefish caught out of Indian River Inlet.

Black sea bass season is closed the first ten days of October.
