Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 10/05/25

Saturday was the kind of day fisherman dream about. Light winds, small seas so you can fish just about anywhere you want. The only problem was, other than sheepshead, fishing was terrible.

Lewes Harbour Marina said sheepshead and some triggerfish were caught at the Outer Wall and the Ice Breakers on sand fleas and green crab. The boats that went after flounder had very little success.

Breakwater tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said fishing was good for sheepshead along the pilings with sand fleas or green crab the prime baits. A few spot were caught on bloodworms or Fishbites and a few blues were taken on cut mullet.

Old Inlet reported sheepshead and tog caught on sand fleas and green crabs from Indian River Inlet. Blues and pompano were caught from the beach.
