Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 10/08/25

Tuesday was the beginning of another run of bad weather days. Small craft advisories went up in the afternoon and they may be raised to a gale warning before we get back to fishable weather.

Lewes Harbour Marina said a few boats went out, but none brought any fish back to the cleaning table. They could have cleaned the catch themselves.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported a very low tide because of the west wind and the full moon. Since fish need water to swim, the action was slow, but according to the tackle shop all the folks on the pier seemed to have a good time catching a few spot and croaker.

DNREC has raised the bag limit for spot to 50 per person per day because the bio-mass has dropped below the critical level.
