Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 10/10/25

Thursday was another day lost to fishing on open water as no boats went out of Lewes or Indian River. The weather is really going to get bad over the weekend as winds are forecast to blow at 40 knots and gust to 60. Seas on the ocean are going to top out at 18 feet.

We did get some decent fish reports from Old Inlet. Those who braved the surf were rewarded with 13-inch bluefish on mullet. The Inlet gave up a few tog and sheepshead on sand fleas and green crab.

Smith Bait up in Leipsic said there were limits of tog caught off of the reef sites out of Bowers Beach. Shrimp and blue crab were the prime baits. Slot stripers were caught at Ship John Light on bucktails and swimbaits.
