With small craft advisories up on Sunday no boats left Lewes or Indian River.

I did have some good news from the Assateague Mobile Surf Fishermen’s Association Surf Fishing Tournament held over the weekend. In spite of some not so good weather the Delaware Mobile Surf Fishermen’s Team Number 1 came in First Place. DMS Team number 2 came in tenth out of the 25 teams that entered. Congratulations to both DMS teams.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported that tog and sheepshead were caught from the inlet on sand fleas and green crabs. There is a coastal flood advisory up for tonight so fishing the inlet or the beach is not advised.

At Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park it was another slow day. Just a few croaker and dog sharks for the folks that fished there on Sunday.
