Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 10/23/25

Wednesday was another small craft advisory day so no boats left Indian River Inlet or Lewes.

No one answered the phone at Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen Sate Park because the west wind blows out the water under the pier.

We do have some exciting news from Old Inlet Bait and Tackle. It seems s few enterprising anglers went surf fishing and caught some spot. They brought the live spot over to Indian River Inlet where they caught seven striped bass during the daytime of which three were in the 28 to 31-inch slot. The inlet also produced tog and sheepshead on sand fleas and green crabs.

For you freshwater anglers, White Clay Creek in Newark has just been stocked with 1,000 pounds of rainbow trout.

This is Eric Burnley with your Talk of Delmarva fishing report.
