Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 10/30/23

Monday was the beginning of a quick return to fall. No boats left Lewes or Indian River.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park will be closing after today. They were packing up when I called and said very few folks fished on Monday and they only caught a couple of sheepshead and black drum.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported on the tog and sheepshead fishing at Indian River Inlet where sand fleas and green crab still produce some action. My friend Dan Neumann sent a report that mirrors those from other sources. On Saturday he and some friends were skunked at Herring Point. On Friday the same group had dogs and skates at the bayside of Cape Point. On Monday he fished the Inlet and caught a dozen or more shad on a small spoon. He said there were no birds to mark the feeding shad. He saw one keeper tog caught.
