Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 5-18-23
The weather remained too rough for boats to sail on Thursday. The forecast for the next few days is not encouraging.
Just to see how the new reservation system was working for spots on the beach this weekend I went on line as if I was going to reserve a place at Cape Henlopen for Sunday, May 21. Now I am not what anyone would call a computer expert, but I had no problem following the instructions and found that there were still openings for Sunday. Of course, next weekend will be the real test.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said there were some 5 to 6-pound bluefish caught at 3Rs Road on cut bunker on Thursday.
Lewes Harbour Marina reported a few flounder caught from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal with live minnows still the prime bait.
Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em reported a private boat brought in three blues from Indian River Inlet. The Gale Force had a 5-pound blue on Wednesday.
