Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 7-16-23

Sunday was pretty much a rainout. We had over 2 inches at my house between Milton and Lewes.

We do have a few reports left over from Saturday. Lewes Harbour Marina told us that Brian Shilling had a 7.76-pound Delaware Citation Flounder on Gulp! while fishing on the Surface Tension with Captain Keith on Saturday. Ernie Stone fished aboard the Katydid with Captain Brent and Mate Chris on Saturday to catch a 6.98-pound flounder. Jason Didden used a pink jig and a sand flea to bring in a Delaware Citation 9.8-pound Sheepshead while fishing over bay structure.

Dave and Mike caught five flounder at A Buoy using Dave’s secret weapon.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle in Milton said fishing at Broadkill Beach has shifted into summer mode. There are kings, croaker, spot and flounder available with bloodworms or Fishbites the top baits. However, the most bites you are likely to get will be from the flies.
