Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 7-5-23
The weather was good again on Wednesday and moist folks who went out caught their share of fish.
At Lewes Harbour Marina they reported that the Katydid had a good catch of sea bass and flounder. Several private boats had flounder as well plus some nice sea bass. All of this action happened over ocean structure.
At Dan’s Tackle I got a first-had report from Jimmy of what a day on the flounder grounds is like. He and three friends went out on Tuesday and fished the Old Grounds with Aqua Clear rigs baited with 5-inch Gulp! twister tails. He said it was pretty much drop and crank as they caught their limit of flounder plus seven nice sea bass and were back at the dock by 1:30 pm.
The Inland Bays are also producing flounder. John Spence used jigs baited with Gulp! to catch three of his four keeper flounder to 18 inches and he caught the fourth on a minnow.
