Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 8-10-23
A threat of thunderstorms kept many folks, the smart ones, off the water on Thursday.
Lewes Harbour Marina reported that the Chris Eastburn party charted the Grizzly with Captain Cary Evans on Wednesday and Chris managed to catch a 6-pound flounder, but Jack McLaughlin took the pool with a Delaware Citation 7.5-pounder. The total for the trip was 28 big flounder in the box. Dave Popovich used a Magictail Jig with a 5-inch Gulp! tail to land a Delaware Citation 7-pound flounder.
Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported continued good spot fishing. They also saw a 23-inch flounder landed from the pier.
Fred Sanford fished Woodland Beach from 6:00 to 7:15 pm one evening last week and caught over two dozen white perch to 12 inches on bloodworms. He said he had lots of double headers and only two green-head bites.
