As predicted, Friday was a rough day to be on the ocean. Some boats did fish the Flounder Pounder Tournament, but the reports I saw from them complained about the rough seas and slow fishing. As of Tuesday, the largest flounder weighed in was 9.8 pounds and was caught on the Shooter Dog.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported that the charter fleet took a day off due to the rough conditions in the ocean. A few private boats did go out and they had a few flounder and sea bass. The Angler fished over bay structure and caught croaker.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported good spot fishing on Friday. Bloodworms and Fishbites have been the top baits. A few croaker have been mixed in with the spot.

Old Inlet reported the usual run of small blues through the inlet with 1 to 2-ounce metal lures the best attractors. Kings are caught from the beach.
