Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 8-2-23
Wednesday saw cool temperatures and light winds.
At Lewes Harbour Marina, they told us the Katydid came back from ocean structure with a boat limit of flounder. The Surface Tension had 20 flounder plus some sea bass over ocean structure and the Angler had a catch of croaker over bay structure.
According to Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park it was a typical summer day on the boards. Spot and croaker on bloodworms and Fishbites with a few flounder on minnows.
Captain Brin on the Thelma Dale IV out of Fisherman’s Wharf had a good day catching lots of short flounder along with plenty of keepers including one doormat and sea bass to 19 inches.
Old Inlet told us croaker and spot were caught from the surf on bloodworms and Fishbites. Croaker and flounder were taken out of the Back Bays
It was flounder and sea bass for the Judy V and the Captain Bob.
