Thursday was a good fishing day and fish were caught from the ocean and bay.

Lewes Harbour Marina said the Surface Tension had flounder and dolphin for her party over ocean structure. The Angler caught croaker and flounder over bay structure.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported another day of decent spot fishing with bloodworms or Fishbites accounting for most of the spot that ended up in coolers. A few keeper flounder ended up in coolers by eating minnows with circle hooks.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle the report was the same old thing and that is a good thing because people are catching fish. Spot, croaker and kings from the surf on bloodworms and Fishbites. Blues on incoming water out of the inlet on 1 or 2-ounce metal lures.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the Judy V and the Captain Bob both brought in flounder and sea bass from ocean structure.
