Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 9-20-23

Wednesday was a good fishing day from the ocean to the bay to the surf and the inlet. Thursday the weather service is calling for northeast winds of 5 to 10 knots, but seas of 3 to 5 feet. The weekend is shot with gale warnings. Old Inlet Bait and Tackle has cancelled their annual surf tournament due to the weather. Anyone who entered can see the store for a refund.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported that the Katydid and the Grizzly had flounder and sea bass. The Angler fished in Delaware Bay and caught small croaker that were returned to the water.

The Pappy’s Lady from Fisherman’s Wharf also had flounder.

Old Inlet reported that kings and small pompano were caught from the surf and sheepshead were taken from the inlet. Small blues ran through the inlet on incoming water.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the Captain Bob and the Judy V had flounder and sea bass. The Michael D had tilefish.
