Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 9-28-23
Small craft advisories flew on Thursday and will be up through Saturday. No boats left the docks and fishing was generally slow anywhere folks could find to wet a line.
Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said a few spot were caught on bloodworms and Fishbites.
At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle the report was tog and sheepshead on sand fleas and green crabs out of Indian River Inlet during incoming water. Small blues also run through the inlet at the same time and will hit 1 to 2-ounce metal lures.
Terry had 4 sheepshead to 20 inches at the inlet on Wednesday. He was using green crab for bait.
Get involved. There will be public hearings on the proposed fishing regulations before they are made into law. Usually, I can count the number of recreational fishermen at these hearings on one hand.
