UPDATED: WYCC Still Working to Reschedule “Jersey Boys” Show, Refunds Available
UPDATED 4/5/19 – The Wicomico Youth & Civic Center has updated information regarding the Jersey Boys show that was postponed at the end of March:
Jersey Boys Ticket Holders,
Immediately following the Jersey Boys postponement on March 28, the Civic Center offered several dates to Broadway in Salisbury, who in turn shared them with Jersey Boys Touring Company, in the hopes that the Jersey Boys Touring Company could add a reschedule date in the remainder of their North American tour. Since then, Civic Center staff has maintained close communication with Broadway in Salisbury to confirm a reschedule date.
In spite of Broadway in Salisbury’s best efforts, the Jersey Boys Touring Company has not confirmed a reschedule date. The Civic Center has no intention of keeping ticket holders in limbo for an unreasonable amount of time. We will continue to push for a resolution.
We will keep ticket holders informed of any news regarding a reschedule date.
In the meantime, ticket holders have two options:
Keep your tickets and redeem them at the rescheduled show date.
Refunds are still available to customers who are not interested in a reschedule date – and will remain available for at least two weeks after a reschedule date is announced.
To request a refund, customers who purchased their tickets though the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center box office may:
Bring your tickets to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center box office during regular business hours; Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Mail your tickets to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center at 500 Glen Avenue, Salisbury, MD 21804, Attention: Box Office. Please include your name, mailing address, phone number and email address. Please allow 10-15 business days to receive your refund.
Broadway in Salisbury subscribers should contact the Broadway in Salisbury offices at 1-888-610-2929, Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Wicomico County Parks and Recreation say due to technical difficulties, Jersey Boys will be rescheduled. They say a new date will be announced as soon as possible, no later than today.
“Ticket holders may: Keep tickets for the rescheduled show. Refunds will also be made available. Directions on how to request a refund will be shared no later than [Friday].” officials said.
Hundreds of people, mostly advanced ticket holders, waited in line for over an hour. Officials initially told them the show would be delayed, but they later broke the news it was going to be rescheduled.
Civic Center officials say there was a technical problem in the venue’s ceiling.
