UPDATE 3/2/23: 2p.m. The lockdown has been lifted at Cape Henlopen School District schools. The school district consulted with law enforcement, and they determined that there is no credible threat to the students. At this time, they are lifting the low-level lockdown for each of their schools and students will resume their normal school day and after-school activities.

Earlier Report:

A call to the Lewes Police Department, in which an individual has made a threat towards schools, has led to the Cape Henlopen School District being put in lockdown. We’ve also been informed that there’s been a series of calls with the same message throughout the state to other districts, and they are being investigated by law enforcement.  At this point, the threats do not appear to be credible, but precautions are being taken along with increased police presence at the school. The Talk of Delmarva 92.7 and 98.5 will have more information as it becomes available.
