Three Charged with Drug Offenses after Traffic Stop

Maryland State Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 50 in Salisbury Saturday night. When the trooper contacted the occupants of the vehicle several criminal indicators were detected and a K9 unit was called. The K9 alerted for drugs and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 73 capsules of “scramble” (mixture of heroin and fentanyl) and three hypodermic syringes. The three people in the vehicle were arrested and charged with possession.

The driver, 34 year old Berkely Manning of Salisbury is also charged with DUI and other offenses.

The other two passengers, 42 year old Todd Daley and 43 year old Robert Peacock, both from Salisbury, were issued criminal citations and released.
