Town of Georgetown Accepting Applications for Funding Through FY 2026 Georgetown Recreation, Education, Arts Trust (GREAT) Fund


The Town of Georgetown is pleased to announce grant-funding opportunities through the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Georgetown Recreation, Education, Arts Trust (GREAT) Fund. Total funding available for distribution is approximately $115,000.

The Town Council established a Recreation, Education, and Arts Trust Fund, funded by means of a surcharge on all building permits, to allow for funding to nonprofit organizations providing recreational, educational, and cultural programs for the general benefit of the citizens of the Town.

This program is known as the “Georgetown Recreation, Education, and Arts Trust (GREAT) Funding Program.”

Under this program, eligible funding includes specific programs, program materials, or activities related to recreation, education and the arts, which will benefit the citizens of the Town and Sussex County.

Ineligible funding under this program includes, but is not limited to, capital improvements, salaries or fundraising.

The deadline for application submission is on/before Friday, May 29, 2026, at 4:30 PM.
