Traffic Stop by Milford Police Ends in Drug Arrest

A traffic stop by Milford Police led to the arrest of a Milford man on drug charges. Police stopped a Honda Accord for an equipment violation and made contact with the operator who gave police a false name, but he was identified as 35 year old Andre Daniels of Milford. Officers observed signs of drug use within the vehicle and received a consent to search from Daniels. Police located cocaine, heroin, mushrooms and over $850 in cash.

Daniels was arrested and found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant. He faces multiple drug offenses:

  • Manufacture/Deliver/Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (3x)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 3 Quantity
  • Criminal Impersonation, two counts of
  • Possess Consume a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance (2x) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2x)
  • Traffic related charges

Daniels had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court and was committed to the Department of Correction in default of $45,351.00 secured bail and a $9000 cash bail on his court capias.  He was ordered to appear in the Kent County Court of Commons Pleas at a later date.
