A stop for a traffic violation recently led to the recovery of a firearm as well as narcotics.
According to Seaford Police, a backseat passenger in the vehicle that was stopped on Norman Eskridge Highway last weekend jumped out of the vehicle and began to run through a parking lot. An officer caught him during a foot pursuit.
Police said a search of the back seat turned up a loaded .32-caliber revolver in plain view, 48-grams of suspected marijuana, a scale and related drug paraphernalia.
Arrested was 18-year-old Lukas Morrison of Seaford. Morrison is charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and during a felony, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
