Troopers Arrest Frankford Man for 7th Offense DUI
Delaware State Police have arrested a 64-year-old Frankford man for 7th offense felony DUI and other traffic offenses following a traffic stop in Ellendale. Police say that last night, September 9th around 9:00 p.m., troopers on patrol saw a silver GMC Yukon traveling eastbound on Milton-Ellendale Highway near Sharon鈥檚 Road, slow down, speed up, and drive in the middle of the road. Troopers pulled the Yukon over and spoke to the driver– Garry Phillips–who showed signs of impairment. Troopers administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and after the tests Phillips was arrested for driving under the influence. A computer check showed that Phillips had six prior DUI-related convictions, and a suspended driver鈥檚 license. Phillips is at Sussex Correctional Institution on over $8,500 cash bond.
